If nothing else, you'll have the cleanest v70 wheels on the forum. Looking forward to tomorrows results.

Default Rear Brakes stuck on after washing wheels

Washed the wheels and tucked it away in the garage overnight. Unbelieveable, reversed out of the garage next morning no problem at all!

But, not sure if this is a valid result. One of my family left the side door to the garage open all night so there was air circulating.

I will repeat the routine when I have time and report back again.

Wondering 2 things: what did they do at the dealers when they stripped and rebuilt the brakes? Copper grease on the calliper moving parts and/or backs of the pads? And, if the information concerning ferrous inclusions ilo asbestos is correct, could this be why the dealer is giving me the 'Gallic shrug'? Maybe this problem is so widespread that the industry doesn't have a solution?

Probably cleaned and copper greased the calipers, as they should have done in the 1st place.

Some places seem to prefer letting customers go forth with a nagging worry about a 'mystery problem' rather than admit a mistake.
