There has been a classic car price bubble over the last few years and it will pop soon. It will be a good thing if the prices become stable or even drop a little so real enthusiasts can afford to buy these cars. If they become too expensive then diy forums like this will cease to exist and these cars become elitist and out of reach of the average person.

However, on a positive with prices higher it does mean more cars are being rescued and restored. Also can mean that people are more willing to restore properly.

As a little info just so you all know make sure you get your cars with agreed valuations as they all !!! Have gone up dramatically as it costs a lot more todo or find a good one to replace like for like so labour costs and parts cost naturally is the game changer so no wonder they will hold or go up it's the way of the market so ask yourself this

How much would it cost to restore or find one to replace your car yes your car if it's totalled or stolen ?? Then try to find one and price a restoration !

Add the cost up and it will give you an idea why ! They hold very gd money your looking £10,000 on a average to restore plus cost of your foundation car and that's bottom price if your wanting everything fully rebuild , upholstered and repainted with new trim then I will let you do the maths it ain't a cheap task by no means but what lovely cars when done iconic in every sense , but amazon front ends are a lot easier to maintain with bolt on front wings and front panel so that's why they sit higher in my mind for pleasure to own.

Kind regards
Robert.w

Higher prices means more opportunities for replacement panels to become an economic viability.
Look at eBay, full of replacement panels and sections now.
That's only a good thing when it comes to restorations

The Safari Yellow Volvo 1800E went for £14734 (inc fees) at SWVA and per website the Amazon went for £950 which seems a bit of a bargain to say the least!!
