Default Complete Light Update

Have just completed updating my 04 lights to 2012 spec. Front projector xenons and rear LED. Total cost after selling old lights has been little under £200 which I think is worth it. Bought a crash damaged LHD offside front unit and a bargain nearside one. Split both open and removed all the orange. Pleased with the result and passed MOT.

Got rears for £200 with loom bits and £25 each reflector. Old units went for £100 each. Still to fit resistors to both as waiting for them to be delivered. All works well except obviously don't have ABL function. Splitting the lights is an epic and would not have been brave enough if I hadn't had an accident damaged unit to start with. Not seen another all silver set yet though.

Happy to give tips to anyone considering doing update. Post 05 cars will struggle to get the bulb out message off with resistors as the control unit became more sensitive to resistance discrepancies.

Just need to sort my horrific paint and get front and rear face lift bumper trims now.front1.jpg

Very good, now you need to clean and spray the front skid pan silver, which will make it look even better, and younger.

Forgot to mention added small piece of folded tin foil with stove glue to LHD shutter to remove kick up. Worked well.
