Online VIN checks can't find my VIN.

I've fed my VIN number into a number of online VIN checkers to no avail, it's always not found, rejected or incomplete. All I want is the build spec. I'm using the same number that's on the V5 document which matches the one behind the windscreen which in turn matches the one on the rear of the offside door pillar. Can anyone help me out please? I know I could ask my dealer, but not on a Saturday evening. YV1BW714081013515.

the VIN wont give the actual build specification, the dealer has access to the actual highly detailed build sheet for your car.

Have you checked the VIN number in the stereo settings?

Just to make sure it also marries up with everything else and there's not a typo somewhere?

Thanks @Oak! I haven't checked the VIN via stereo. I will do so, but it's interesting to see that Skandix at least recognises the VIN as being genuine.
