Default No Power No start No crank NOTHING!

Hi there lads was wondering if you could help me on this one

Yesterday My 2018 XC60 hybrid wouldn’t start but after jump starting through the rear battery it started, charged it overnight and in the morning it would not start and now there’s no power at all, except for hazards and unlocking and locking through the interior doors

Only visible error that was on the instrument cluster was 12v battery fuse failure
But that was on for a while and didn’t affect the car, the part is on order from Volvo on back order so just waiting on it ( talking of which does anyone know where it’s located?)

Any solutions to get power to the vehicle
I’ve already disconnected the negative terminal of the battery

You should only connect the jump leads or charger to the dedicated engine bay + and earth connection points not to the battery, you can put a supply on these engine bay connections for power.

If you’ve jumped started it directly on the battery you could have damaged the electronics.

OP said hybrid- wouldn’t charge a t8 from anywhere but the type 2 socket - too complicated, too costly to break.

In normal circumstances the hybrid battery charges up the 12v

I think the 12v battery fuse might be in the battery connector.

Only had a quick look but there's a surprising amount of electronics in there. You could try connecting a booster to the terminals near the engine and see if this restores 12v power to the car.

Hi mate just seen your reply now
Yes it’s restored power but only whilst a booster is connected otherwise when the booster gets disconnected the power dies to the car
I’ve replaced the 12v battery fuse is there any other solution

Hi did you get anywhere with this? I’m having the same issue on a v60 that’s been involved in a collision.

There's a pyro fuse on the battery which cuts power to the 400A starter supply. It's triggered in a collision and will maintain power to car systems for VOC etc but isolates high current consumers like the starter.
