Hi,

H-U-G-E...

What is it you are trying to transport as the wheel arches may interfere..?

Just off to look at the handbook for the measurements..

Thanks Des,

My wife's Focus Estate is a bit on the small size for her cake business but it's only a fraction smaller than a Mondeo estate, so I'm trying to find out how much bigger the 940/960's are. Hopefully they will be significantly bigger to justify trading up.

Still at least the Focus has more space than my 480!

Cheers
Pete

Can't help you with the metric conversion since the US is still in the 19th century there, but I just measured. Width is 44 inches between the wheel wells, 59 inches at the rear hatch and 40 inches at the top of the hatch between the lift struts. Height at the hatch is 30 inches. Depth is 41 inches on the floor and 34 inches from the hatch to the top edge of the rear seatbacks.

I have visions of an emergency stop, all the cakes shooting up, hitting a dog guard, then splattering the occupants.

Thanks MTerry, just what I needed.
Good point cootuk, will have to look for one with a dog guard! They don't tend to move too much on the floor, the problem is they don't stack too well!
