Hi all , I have looked on threads but not found anything i havent been told.
This is my first post, from a total non mechanical novice, please be kind!

My journey thus far!

Last month i acquired my first vovlo, wanted one for ever! Serious regrets now past from pillar to post and losing the will so stressed with it all!

First issue, worked fine for 1 month , then the brake system failure stop immediately warning came on aswell as antiskid service, car stopped wipers on the rest.

Was told the alternator charging to high so replaced that, ok car started again worked for about 3 hrs before it would not start, wipers same warnings plus immobliser try start again message.

Now told CEM, done the old contact clean several times, no good. So got a new one, all coded and all ok, plugged in ... nope same issues.

Told battery, fully charged that... Nope same issues, i can not afford to go to dealership, they want £150 labour charges plus baisically laughed at down phone when i asked advice.

Dont know what else to do, ive no help from the warranty company or the car dealers i got it from 100mile away. So advice would be really appreciated.

I had the same problem as you have, even after cleaning CEM Contacts as everyone says it's the cure ??.
I took my V50 to my independent Volvo garage ( Pershore) , he checked through everything and said it needed a new CEM (latest version) and also said the Brake Control Module (BCM) and hydraulic unit, would need to go for Specialist repair. (450 ish) which I had done.
