Boot trim from V40 to an S40?

Sorry if this has been asked before - would the nice stainless steel/chrome moulding that fits on the bottom of the V40 tailgate fit on the bottom of a P2 S40 boot lid? It looks like it might...

No, I dont think they will.

Page 38 of the official Volvo accessory catalogue lists two part Nos - S40 and V40.

I guess the lengths are different.

Thanks Steve - interesting as the dims in the catalog seems the same for both - the one I am eyeballing is a fraction of the vost of the Volvo one:

Or you could look for people breaking cars and get it from there. I have seen entire boots selling for less than that one. With a bit of luck, you may find one with the trim on I had one from my V40 and it went to a good home for free, as I don't have a V40. n second thoughts, I should have tried to see if it fitted on my S40 but I never did..... grrrrrr

Hah! LOL! Might have known it was littlehomer who had it! No worries, when I get it in the post, fingers crossed it will fit, if not, I will offer it up for sale - but let's hope it fits. The dims are the same, so I think it will, but we'll see - oh and with this buckshee one, whilst the finish looks great, unlike the Gen Volvo one, no holes need to be drilled!
