So, here we go, the before and after pics. Have added some black bezels to the headlamps, black indicator units (with snazzy bulbs) and some white side markers - ordered a new eggcrate grille to but it hasnt arrived yet - will be any day so will do some more pics then......meanwhile....boot spoiler and front splitter and some chrome door handles to do yet and then it will look the dogs gonads!

Hi Ron,

I got it from FK - £46 inc carriage. Have a look here:

http://www.fk-automotive.org.uk/webs...0c6a2%2fmd5%7d

It looks the part and I am told its shed loads stronger then the stock grille that sells for double! All you then have to do is sacrifice your old stock grille, carefully remove the badge and with some good glue, bobs your Uncle. I will let you know better when mine arrives as I may have to trim the grille a bit to accommodate the badge, but it should be quite easy.

The secret is out with the wife then

It looks great so far, very interested to see how the grill works out - imagine it will look exactly like a genuine Volvo egg-crate grill but be stronger and cheaper.

**** mate, she hasnt noticed yet!!

Yea, I think it will look spot on as long as I dont have to cut or file too much to get the badge to fit - we'll see - if I have to cut it too much, I may have to make good and spray, but hoping not to have to too much or at all.

Will report back.

My OH more than noticed when I put the eggcrate on and she was more than happy. Now, I can't imagine any of of S40s with a normal grill. It makes them look so old

i agree with Gatos, old grill just made mine look old, eggcrate and black headlight/indicators totally transformed my motor, extremely happy with the way it looks now

Default Nice!!

Looking nice!

Where did you get the clear side lamps from, I have been looking for a set of them?

Do you fancy doing a commentary on how to fit black bezels?
