Default 2006 C70: Drive Shaft Driving Me Nuts

OK, soooo

Been lot's of road noise lately and my mobile mechanic had sent me a link to buy a replacement for him to come and fit for me.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/315176394868

Unfortunately, as you can see from the picture the bearing is about an inch out of place / different from the original and won't fit into the housing.

Any ideas (or links to a part that will fit) would be appreciated!

Thanks in advance!

Cheers Simmy - I'm returning the part, so as soon as I find one that fits I'll grab one!

I shall also have a look on Scandix and see if that sheds some light!

It's a D5 2.4, 2006 model - not sure if it being so early changes things.

I went through all this recently when I was told my CV boot was leaking. I thought I'd get a whole driveshaft just to make life easy, that was until I discovered the endless amount of variants! There were three different types from the US, a similar amount in the UK. In the end I was relieved to find I didn't need one, but I feel your frustration!
