General: 140: - Spanish 142

I saw this rather nice looking 142 whilst on a recent holiday in southern Spain. I'm afraid I can't tell you anything at all about it but I thought I'd share it with you anyway.

What a lovely unmolested 142 - your pics have given me even more incentive to carry on with the restoration of my '68 one. Not that I needed much today as, for the first time since the tax expired a quarter of a century ago, the engine ran again!
All I had to do was thoroughly clean out the twin-carbs, replace the fuel pump, hoses and petrol, and it purred into life (not that the Amazon engines ever purr, with 18 thou tappet clearance!). Fortunately, the car had been stored in a very dry brick garage al this time, so minimal body repairs are needed: will look out my spare calipers next, and replace all the brake pipes plus stiff water pump.
Thanks for pictures - I never saw ANY old Volvo's when I was there a few years ago.

Nice to see a classic Volvo being used, like the two tone paint job.

It certainly sounded healthy enough when it drove past me later in the day.

Good to see a 142 being used. It looks nice overall, but removing the original front indicators was a mistake.
