Default 440 1.8 Manual

Okay call it a wasted post but I'm not looking for one right now as my current car still has a months mot left, but once I get a ticket on it and get it sold a 440 will be on the cards. As title looking for a 440 with t+t. I am located in the south west but will travel for the right motor.

Bare me in mind

There's a fairly tidy blue 440 on ebay right now.

I nearly had a punt at it myself, but it's a looooong way from Manchester!

Looks from the pics though to have had some poor paint work done on the passenger rear quarter, or maybe my eyes.

Nope!

Ah, just had a look and it's gone.

There's a half decent grey one though in Shropshire, looks quite nice although it's a 2.0.

This is a very tidy 440!

http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classifi...80pr?logcode=p

Looks exactly like one we used to have (it's not though).

Even though I have an S40 T4, I want it! so much value for money.

The 440 was the first car I ever drove, it was my mums and I kept reversing it and moving it around our drive at 16 years of age, cracking little car

Cool

Ah cr@p, that's the one... Must have been on AT all the time, knew I'd seen it somewhere.

Looks really nice, but check the paint on the passenger rear quarter!

Something a little odd there, seems to be missing some laquer to me?

Does look a cracker! Agreed on that rear 1/4. Some rust treatment methinks. the other side has a nice finish but you can see a rotting arch compared to the lacquerless but rust free passenger side.

Still a nice example. fingers crossed it doesn't sell for a month haha

Yeah, I'm maybe thinking it's had a smack at some point?

Hmm...

Shame really, 'cos it's in the best colour for a 440 IMO, and a good spec too.

Went to view an identical 440 Si today. rotting rear arches, damaged interior trim, 101k, no tax, no mot, 4 good tyres, fairly straight body. £495?

No.

Offered him £50 but he said he'd go no lower than £300. As much as I wanted to save it I walked away. The hunt goes on!
