Default Leaking fule injectors

I noticed smoke coming out of the bonnet of the car and got the AA to come and have a look. The diagnosis was that injector ports 2 and 4 were leaking and fule was pooling up on the engine block and then burning off the engine when it was hot. The car starts perfectly fine and runs ok and no smoke at high speeds on motorways but when in town they start to leak and the problem arises. I am running it on 100% Biodiesel and have been for three months now no problem. The AA man said it was probably the seals that had gone and need replacing. I spoke to a Volvo service garage and they said (without looking at it) that it was a rare problem that they hadn't really had to deal with and would need to have a look at but could be very expensive to sort. Looking online you can buy replacement seals for not very much. I have a mate who is pretty well mechanically versed would it be something he might be able to fit if I bought the parts?

Can anyone else shed any light on the possible issue and resolution?

Many thanks

Toby

The only answer we can give is, "ask him".
These seals would be within the capabilities of a mechanical virtuoso.
