Default 1967 Volvo 123 GT

Hello folks:
Been away for a while, yet I am slowly looking to replace my now sold for over 10 years 123 GT. I happen to find one in California. I know this car for I found it for the previous owner in Quebec. Apparently he sold it or he put it up for sale in consignment. The car I would say is in excellent condition but no way near concourse status. They are listing it for $40k with a low offer of $39.5k . Personally I think is outrageously priced . Any thoughts from anyone? I sold mine over 10 years ago for $31k and it was highly modified and in pristine show condition. Maybe I am out of touch with reality but $40k in my opinion is way out. According to the Hagerty valuation tool this car worth about $31K.
Regards

They have been appreciating over the years so yes I feel it’s probably spot on all though in a currency I don’t use so other than that , but they going to go higher very soon should hit £30-40k once market settles

Oh I understand the market is crazy, I had my 1st 123 1967 back in 1969 and unfortunately I totaled and then got my last one I purchased (exactly like my 1st one ) in 2006 and kept it for 4 years. Sold it and I have regret it since. That is why I am looking to get another one as close to my last one as possible. Will see, it has to be as close to my last one as possible. Tks for your input!
Cheers
Lou

The dealer ad is rather fanciful Says it is RED! It is certainly a non factory green. Also has anti lock brakes and traction control!? No mention of overdrive. Interior pics might show what they call "wood accents"?

Yes, too expensive. As it is a Canadian model it might have a LSD.

Yes I saw that mistake with the color, I also noticed that they must have tinkered with the pictures to a vivid tonality which alters the look of the deep Volvo green. The interior looks un tampered and there is a right hand lever so based on the vin plate it should have OD. I did not ask that question. I still think it’s not priced accordingly. That is not a concouse condition.

I am very suspicious of this type of ad. In addition too expensive.

Confirmed with the salesman that the car does in fact has OD and functioning, however, while he said that the pictures were tinkered with that does not confirm to me that it is fact the 94 color code which is the darker green like my previous Volvo 123 GT.
