I’ll hazard a guess it’s a C70

Jag procedure but I believe it applies to all such windows:

Lower fully and keep the button pressed until you hear a 'click'
Raise the window and do the same.

Windows only drop when opening the roof, not the door.

Wife’s Mini window drops as the door is being opened, (no frame for the window) I thought the C70 might have been the same

Yes, my wife's Mini Cooper does the same and I did find it strange that the C70 doesn't. The shape of the roof to window seal allows the door to open with the window fully closed. All four windows do drop 20mm before the roof starts to open.
