Default Whirring while accelerating

Hi,
when I press the throttle pedal a bit harder, I can hear some whirring sound (noise) - like if something vibrates. The sound disappears once I release throttle. I can't hear this sound if accelerating decently/slowly. No problems apart from this sound.
The car has just over 4000 km, I noticed this in last few days.
Any Idea what can this be?
Thanks

Thank you Clan, I guess it can be something with turbo as the sound suddenly appears when pressing the throttle at certain point (the sound intensity is constant) and then disappears when releasing the throttle .
Will take it to dealer next week, hope they won't tell me it's a regular sound .
By the way, I can hear the sound even under 2000 RPM - does turbo charger work at there low revs ?

Took the car to the Volvo garage today. Although the guy from garage said he can hear the sound, he thought he wouldn't have noticed it if I didn't tell him about it. Even diagnostic didn't show anything (I was expecting this as the whirring is only there when a gear is in and accelerating, I cannot hear it when pressing throttle pedal on neutral) .
Hmm, one year of warranty still left, so will see if it gets worse or not ...
