Cheers for all of the advice guys...

What do people on here have then. This is the first time I have ever considered chipping a car, and was wondering what the difference between each of the products is likely to be.

I am more concerned with something that will not adversely affect the reliablity of the car whilst still realising good performance gains ratehr than extracting the last possible ounce of performance with the possibility that the engine may go wrong....

Thanks

Ben.

To extract the last possible ounce of power, you would have to be pushing well over 350 bhp. So with just an ECU upgrade from any of the vendors that are common on here, you won't have any reliability issues.

Hi Ben

If you can make it down to the next Crooked Billet meet on the 30th, there'll be tuned cars from all the main tuning companies and its usually possible to go for a spin in the cars. It might give you an idea of what is involved and you can get first hand experience on how the cars drive and chat to the owners too.

Depending on where you are located, maybe call in at Stewart Williams' SW Autos open day this coming sunday.

Not far from Leeds Castle in Kent.
