Interior fan
My interior fan has developed a grumbling noise, almost like the fan is catching on something. Dis-assembled it all but nothing obviously wrong, but did fit a new pollen filter - the old one was super dirty!
I can only assume that fan motor must be on its way out (a theory partly backed up by the occasional 'system fault' indicatoed by the flashing AC off/recirc air lamps). Replacement fan prices obtained so far: £214+VAT+delivery for a new one, £57 delivered from Salvo Group. I've a V70 with ECC. Any idea if the fans all the same regardless of system (ie. ECC or manual)? and would one off a 850 fit?

RE: Interior fan
The fan slips on the shaft and catches on the housing. Try sliding it back down the shaft or sanding the edge off the fan to give more clearance. I noticed mine catching when cornering.

RE: Interior fan
Thanks Simon!
Had another good look today (this time by pulling back the windscreen cowl, removing pollen filter and peering/feeling down the hole) - the fan cylinder is rock solid on the shaft and doesn't seem to be catching, but I'll take it apart again fully at the weekend and have another good look.
