petrol fumes 850 (M reg)

I am getting fuel fumes coming into the car when accelerating, Is it something simple, Like a seal come loose somewhere?

Hello Joe, bought my FIRST Volvo 3 weeks ago and joined the club last week so bear with me. Had the same symptoms with my `96 850 2.5ltr 10 valve, auto. Also got a strong smell of petrol as soon as I turned the ignition on, before starting. Noticed fuel running down the OUTSIDE of one of the injectors. New seals around £4.50 per injector and my local Volvo garage only charged £40 labour to replace all 5 Good service/problem solved.

Mine gives me the fumes but only at idle after a run??

I've had it all checked by my Volvo specialist but apparenlty nothing is wrong. I'm still getting 25-27mpg average (calculated) so I'm not loosing any fuel.
