Default Transmission Service Required message

Hi, newbie here with a few questions for an 02 XC70 D5 Geartronic AWD. Title message appeared a couple of months back although the car drives very well (106k miles on clock, no heavy use). I've changed the auto box ATF - it was grey/black (yes I did drain the right 'box - if you've ever had a classic Saab 900 you'll know what I'm talking about!) - new pink correct-spec ATF added to the correct level. Probably would benefit from another drain/replace in a short while. Didn't find any sign of a filter that needs changing/cleaning - the service book doesn't say anything about gearbox servicing, unsurprisingly. Car drives very well and I love it (when I'm allowed to drive it).
Question: is it possible to clear the message without an ODB II or other computer system? Disconnecting the battery for >10 mins doesn't work (unless I'm not party to a secret sequence of turning keys/pressing pedals/hitting "clear" x times in t seconds (it works on some Saabs but they're all different by year model!). May be worth asking a dealer to clear it.

Talking had the same message

hello m8 i had the same message so i had it checked out by a auto transmission expert. if the light is it will cost money. get it checked before you try anything. i changed the oil at a cost of £70 i should have just burnt the money for what good it done. if the message comes up there is a fault.

good luck hope you have more luck than i had lol
