woke up to flat tyre, since discovered it has rusted through so need a new wheel. Any out there?

It's annoying when that happens (about 6 or 7 years ago, I had two wheels rust through at pretty much the same time) but worth checking all the others thoroughly. What type are you after though? There are two different styles - the earlier 'solid' ones and the later ventilated type (hub caps aren't interchangeable), and two different widths - saloons are 4J wide, & estates / 1800s 4.5J (not exactly the same though). Ventilated 4J will probably be the easiest to find.

1965 ventilated saloon so 4j. i have been reading it is possible to weld them up so may tdo that if non forthcomming. i was expecting to see a glut of them on ebay but seem quite a rare item, you have given me some hope though. and you have answered my question of what are the chances of another rusting out anytime soon.
