If you get one free all the better as most get damaged with water.

Minty is a trader, PM him. He must be bona fide to be allowed on the forum.

Regards.
He's a good bloke- did get some bits from him
He normally asks about £50 for them and this car is bleeding me dry at the mo- my gearbox change is nearly complete...

I'm fairly sure I have a couple of dead cases in the garage, drop me an email to AndyD345@btinternet.com and I'll have a look, yours for the cost of postage

Hello there,

I've got the alarm service warning up now. (and the parking sensor one) Read all the threads i could find here. Ready to go but:
I've got a few questions and hope someone there can answer a couple or three.

1. If my pcb is ok, and I replace the battery, will the displayed warning dissapear without the dealer having to delete it?

2. Do you disconnect the battery before you start? If you do, will you need the radio code etc?

3. Will the car still run if you don't get it fixed while it is out of the car?

4. Why can't it be replaced by a 12v alarm with no pcb? Will this affect feedback to the ECU?

Cheers, Nick

In short...
1) Yes
2) No
3) Yes
4) Yes, ECU needs too see the proper module, however I have read thread where you can "confuse" it with resistors and do away with the siren. Not yet tried myself lol

Thank You very much for that information NI-Volvo-Nut, It confirms what Simon said and is a load off. Just waiting for the battery now and hoping the pcb is serviceable.
