As it says in the title, I'm after one of these.

This is half of the kit. You would still need the cranked tool as well.

Good shout by Simmy. Karl is always breaking Convertibles and is a genuine chap to deal with. He is on the Facebook groups and based in Melbourne Derbyshire.
This is a good group to join and Karl regularly posts the cars he is breaking on there.https://www.facebook.com/groups/1471778763071232/

All sorted, from the unlikeliest of sources.

Turns out one of the guitarists in the band in which I play had one in the late 90's and still had the kit in his garage so I got the full kit, still in its original clear plastic wallet, for nowt.

The original plastic wallets are rarer than the actual tools.

Yeah, when I mentioned it to him at the pub yesterday he went all misty eyed and started going on about the T5 vert he'd had, how it was a great car, a bird puller etc.

Ironically he sold it and emigrated to Canada, but came back and now has a Passat. I drove a Passat in Canada, emigrated here when I married a British lady, and now drive a C70

.

The wallet is excellent. Slightly browned with age, but soapy water and baby wipes has revived it to spotless condition.

For future reference, Karl I think does most sales on Facebook and is usually breaking 2 or 3 C70's at any one time.
