Radio/Stereo: Radio Codes Please

Hi there, loving my new 1997 v70 but I foolishly disconnected the battery without realizing my radio would lock up. Rang volvo and got the code (1331) from my vin but didn't work so radio musta been changed....please help!

So it looks like perhaps people aren't able to provide codes on here anymore? Either way just to let others who have the same problem know, my radio wasn't the original so i couldn't get the code from Volvo from my car reg over the phone, they did however tell me to bring the radio in to them, which I did and within 20 minutes had worked some magic and printed me off a nice bit of paper with my radio serial number and code. Turns out they store the info for each and every individual radio unit! So if stuck try taking the unit in to your local dealer they should be able to help.

Having recently purchase a 1999 V70 which recently had a new battery, my radio is in 'code' status.

Could some kind soul please help me out.

This code is not needed any more, the radio didn't work, it was broken, so i'll get a "new" one replacing that..

I think if we can start with the Model and Serial number of your unit, if it transpires any more Identificational information is required i will amend the post...Maybe one of the Dealers can clarify this...

Can I be cheeky and add the following......?
1) If you need to disconnect the battery for any reason and you don't have the radio code, connect a 12v battery charger to the cables, and the trickle of juice will be sufficient to retain the radio codes. Bind any bare surfaces on the connections with insulation tape to avoid any risk of shorting.
2) I've had success with ebay code sellers, who only require the radio number from the casing, and will furnish you with the code for around £1.
