S40 T5 rear drop links

Need to replace my rear drop links, has anyone put any uprated ones on?

and where did you get these from?

I'm running some "Hardrace" Rear Reinforced Drop-Links for Mazda3/Focus/Volvo, cost around £50-60.

Seem ok to me but they are drop links at the end of the day.

I'm also running them with the elevate 25.4mm rear anti-roll bar, which for whatever reason has bolt holes that are too large for the OEM sized drop links, so need a bit of 1/2inch steel tube to help shim the gap and make the anti-roll effect kick in immediately.

Very very happy with the elevate rear bar otherwise...Big solid expensive bar.

I assume you're already running an uprated roll bar Dom?

The body roll from the rear on the stock bar is completely unacceptable imho.

Yeh im already running a hardrace rear anti-roll bar but those rear drop links sound good as well. where did you order them from? the site I ordered my rear antiroll bar doesnt exist anymore which is annoying.

I got them from H-Tune.co.uk but that site appears to be gone.

They were sold as Mazda droplinks but listed as 'also compatible' with our ours.

Seemed pretty well made from what I remember. No clunks when checking them the other day.

haha yeh that was the site I was using before as well, just searched their UK site and cant seem to find them which is frustrating.

you wont get better than the standard volvo ones , what can you "uprate" anyway on a simple ball joint?

I might have to go oem but would of been nice to just have a hardline.

you usually find the non volvo ones wear prematurely ..

I’m no expert with these cars, but I’ve read sites regarding adjustable drop links and/or heavy duty links that are meant to be used when changing to aftermarket anti roll bars, especially when lowering the car is also a factor. This is due to two factors, the distance changing and also the angle of force has changed. Having beefier drop links helps with this angular change and also depending on suspension kinematics, the adjustable drop links will be beneficial too if the car is lowered as the angle and distance from the roll bar will change.
