All I have ever done is oil and filter.

I have a haynes manual, so will take a look. What is likely to need changing?? Do I need a torque wench to tighten???

Pads and disks looks fine, so should I buy some pads and springs?? If so, where from?? Ebay??

Thanks in advance.

p.s. is the binding something I should worry about, previously, I have been told this is normal, and the clunk when starting to move is common??
I have started leaving the handbreak off and leaving in gear, but it still clunks?
i would check them now rather than later, mine did the same with the same symptons that you are describing, as for the pads and discs if they are okay leave them just change the handbrake shoes

Right

Are Pagid shoes OK???

Will attempt this next weekend..

Also, one of my front brakes is making a off squealing noise one part of the disk.
Hard to describe, but if I keep an exact pressure on the pedal slowing down, every revolution of the wheel squeals at a certain point, and at the same time, it will increase the breaking for a split second??

Any ideas?? Worn/warped disk?? Pass an MOT last month with no advisories??

Think I'll check mine next week.
This is one occasion I WON'T be using an OEM part.
It has nothing to do with OEM parts, my 2003 V70 did the same thing with Volvo parts. The handbrake shoes are not on a service schedule, the shoes rust and the lining part company causing the rear hubs to be trashed for want of £30.

I played pop with Volvo and got nowhere, I even reported them to Vosa as the rear of the car locked up on a corner. All I got was a pat on the head.

I wouldnt mind if they said "change every three years regardless of wear". Each hub assembly is about £1000 a side from Volvo.

Right, got to do this as soon as. Today again this morning the hand break gripped when pulling out of the drive. Heard a clunk as it broke away. Anyway 20 miles and 25 mins later mainly motor way. I checked the wheels. The drivers side disk was very hot, burnt my fingers, pass side was normal.

Something is really going on with my rear breaks...

I have driven it twice since, and it was fine. Both sides cool, and no clunk as it pulls away. I suspect maybe the spring on the one side has failed maybe.

So, this afternoon I will buy the shoes from europarts, and the springs from ebay.

Take a day off at the end of the week, and have a go.. Pictures will follow..

DO I need a torque thingy for the bolts at the back of the callipers, or locktight??
