Default Engine System Service Required

Hi
I have a 2003 S60 D5 and know there have been loads of posts about the message mentioned above, and after trawling through what seems to be all of them I am no closer to resolution.

I now have the message with no OBD2 Codes to give me a direction to look, changed out the MAP sensor as I did have a P108 code but that has now gone.

Does anyone have any details of anyone in the Swindon area that has the Vida system so I could get the codes that maybe hidden in the background, willing to pay but not the dealer charges if I can help it.

Thanks

Shaun

Thumbs up Thanks

Petey

Thanks for the response, just going to try a couple more bits then I may well give you a shout. All pointing towards vacuum issue but as yet can't find it, have noticed Oil cap has started to leak a small amount of oil, just waiting for new seal and go from there.

Thanks

Shaun

get the codes checked if it comes up with ecm 6805. Get the vacuum checked at the brake vacuum pump if the readings are erratic at idle and stabilise at higer revs ( (1500 plus) fit a good second hand pump and the fault message should go.

Default Turbo VNT

If the car has been used for short trips around town, the turbo VNT might be blocked and you have to clean it.
