Did the 580 miles use a full tank?

Mine is coming in lower. Since I reset the average mpg its coming in at 37mpg. That is a mix of town and motorway.

Distance to empty on the tank works out at 500 miles

Just found this video, different engine to mine but the same noise.

No, 53 litres/12.5 gallons. Was showing a quarter of a tank and about 170 miles of range still at that point. I’m sure I’ve recorded 50mpg on the same journey though.

I have seen 500 mile range on a full tank before, it feels like it comes and goes with differing fuel stations too.

I've had 520, and 480 and this time I'm on for 500 but we'll see. Thing is I drive quite economically, I don't rag the car.

Hi, just to let anyone know I had the injector changed. They didn't change the o2 sensor as they couldn't find anything wrong with it.

Better response in lower revs but I think I could do with it being remapped..

The noise is still there though...

Right, just another update, I had the 'engine system service required' message pop up. So I checked a few things, one of which was the oil level. It was over max.
So I thought, I have an oil suction pump so pulled out 750ml to get it to read maximum. Through the dipstick hole
The oil had the consistency of water and was black.
Looking into it it seems the injector was overfueling (the one that failed) and the diesel has entered the engine oil and caused oil dilution.
Im going to do an oil and filter change as soon as it arrives and monitor if it was the injector or if there is a problem with the dpf regen.

The strange thing is it does not tell you when the dpf is regenerating.....

Oil change done today and filter changed.

Removed 6.7l refilled with 5.9l as per handbook.

Still have the P1551 68 code. No warning lights....

Tried to clear with delphi software which picked up 5-6 other codes including passenger door module, infotainment and instruments... but no luck with the 1551 code.

Im wondering if the garage actually coded the injector or even if if needs to be coded.....?

No faults are generated when i checked. But my mate suggested could be vacuum pump non return valve faulty and creating noise like that i'll try to replace.

Thats a shame... I did notice mine is louder when cold. But I have just changed the oil and filter and need to check it again....

Im going to replace all the vacuum hoses I can find (one by one) and see if I can narrow it down. to pipe or a part...

I did 50 miles on the motorway today with cruise control on at 65 mph and was averaging 37 mpg so I need to sort out whatever is going on as its not right.
