Default Using Volvo On Call with a Smart watch

Has anyone successfully managed to connect their VOC to an Android wearable? In particular Samsung Smart watch. If so , how did you do itplease? Cheers

Got mine working with a Ticwatch S running Wear OS 2, it was just a case of installing the Volvo on call app on the watch from the play store. I think some Samsung watches run an OS called Tizen, so they may not support the VOC app.

From the Wear OS app I can pick and unlock the car, see the location on Google maps and check the fuel range etc, but remote start still needs the app on my phone with the fingerprint or password to work, so it's handy but not essential.

Default Remote Start from Apple Watch - Works perfectly.

I have just tried the remote start from my Apple Watch and was pleased to find it works perfectly.........never realised that the VOC app on the watch had so much functionality.

Yes, I use the VoC app on my Huawei Watch 2. VoC installed from Wear app store, and communicates to the phone. works fine with no further setup. Only thing is you cannot remote start from the watch (or at least I cannot find it) - but lights, horn, preconditioning, etc all work

Specifically which Samsung watch are you using? I think most of the Samsung Smart Watches are not Android (or Wear OS as it is now known). Rather they use proprietary Samsung Operating System ( Exynos, Tizen, ...). I think the wearable VoC app is only available on Wear (Android), Apple & Windows wearable devices.

Perhaps that may be the reason then. It's the new gen Samsung "Watch" I assumed it's Android to be honest. VOC doesn't show up in the apps list in the ' 'Wear app' although it does in the notifications list. Therefore I can't seem to transfer to the watch. Those that the watch is linked to is a Samsung Note 9 (android)

There used to be a Microsoft Band and Band 2.
Band 2 wasn't bad - just didn't sync well with Android - you had to clear the notifications on both devices -double the work, so not helpful.
Also, if worm on the underside of the wrist, the screen - despite being gorilla 3(?) glass was very scratchable.

Both the old (Gear S3 Frontier in my case) and new (Samsung Watch) run Tizen. The reason cited by Samsung is Wear OS does not support rotating bezels, hence why they use Tizen.

In general, I love my Gear S3 but the lack of apps is an issue.

Bought my first smart watch last week. Have been undecided about them for ages thinking 'I don't need all this stuff on my wrists' but when my normal watch broke, I took the opportunity to try one out with the new approach of; why wear something that can only do one thing.

I went for the Huawei Watch 2 after decent reviews. Pretty nice so far. Totally forgot about VOC for wear devices until the watch recommended that I install it! Very cool.
