Volvo s60 D4 engine noise
Hi guys this morning noticed that engine runs a bit louder then it use to temperature outside around 3 to 4 degrees.
Oil level checked ok. When cap is open for oil fill it does sound strange not sure it does need to sound like that. Engine model is D5204T3. I have attached video of how engine runs. Cheers in advance. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IGv...w?usp=drivesdk

Engine Noise
Cant view your video, seems to put up a you tube error message, but have you checked you tube for "Volvo engine noise" and/or vacuum noise. There is some good info on there, especially about the small valve that causes the EGR valve to "rattle" on tick over. many people have had the whole pump changed when its only the one way valve that needs to be changed. Just done mine on the 5204T3 XC60. simple fix and saves big bills at the dealer. Although £70 for a small plastic valve is not really a bargin!!!

Look on you tube search "volvo V60 vacuum pump leak" the part no is 31430964. See if it is the same problem first, then you can check the part number on the case of your pump casting to see if its the same pump as in the video.
