2005 s60 d5 se - low miles, sorted car
Hi, am looking to gauge interest in the sale of my S60 as I'm hankering after one of the new S90's.
It's a very sorted, 2005 S60 D5 SE and is a lovely car. I am the 3rd owner and it's only done 96,000 miles. It's a 185 hp 6-speed manual car. It has just (December 2019) had new clutch, dual mass flywheel, clutch slave cylinder and cambelt at a Volvo specialist using Volvo parts at a cost of £1,400. It really does need absolutely nothing and comes with almost full service history from new. The first owner was from Scunthorpe and owned the car from 2005 to 2015. There is full Volvo main dealer service history for this period. The second owner was from Banbury and owned the car from 2015 to 2017. Unfortunately there is not much history for this period. I have had the car since 2017 and have spent considerable time and money in making sure it's one of the best out there. Work undertaken has included:
Condition-wise it's really very nice. There are a couple of little marks on the body if you're being picky but nothing of any consequence. In terms of negatives: the radio buttons don't light up at night and that's about it. I understand this can be fixed for about £75 but I've never bothered. I want £2,495 for it and I'm firm on that. I haven't advertised it anywhere else yet as I'd really like it to go to a Volvo enthusiast. I will take the private plate off it before sale (it will go back on to a 55-plate). MOT is currently until May 2020 but I'll put a new one on it for any new owner. I'm in Nuneaton (between Coventry and Birmingham). Please message me if you're interested. Just to add, the car comes with a thick file of service records, invoices and old MOT's etc. Also an original Brochure, Service Book, all Owners Manuals and both keys.
Someone has asked who did the clutch change etc. - it was Sheffield & Meredith in Leicester: http://www.sheffieldandmeredith.com/ My mobile is 07981 074229 if anyone wants to ask any further questions.

After admiring the new V90 from afar, yesterday I went and had a test drive in one. Whilst it is undoubtedly a lovely car I have come to the conclusion that it didn't bowl me over enough to want to spend the extra money over and above my (bought and paid for) S60. I'm therefore going to stick with what I have.
