S40 Classic Mot

Just wanted to add to this thread.

I bought my ‘10 s40 drive 1.6 just over 3 years ago.
In 10 years it has not failed on anything other that a failed light and damaged tire.

I do my own brakes, oil and filters and have yet to get it properly serviced.

I use only local authority MOT centres as to avoid any potential rip off merchants.

The car has been flawless since the day I got it.

It may not be the best Volvo. It may not be built to the same standards as older Volvos.

For a car 10 years in and almost 100k miles, it is proving to be a shrewd purchase.

I’m hoping I’ll get at least another 4 years out of it.
