Redone it this morning, impossible for me to check the level on flat ground, the car is far too low, its so low as i cant use normal ramps lol

I took it for a test drive and now its back to its normal clunky self, will that settle or is that there to stay now till it gets worse?

Thanks, in effect i have done it 3 times now but i spose the 1st didnt count as it was engine oil, i then did an sump dump and refil with proper fluid. 3rd time, i had actually only ordered 10L not 20L, but it did get a full 8L flush 2x4L as i still had some left over from the 1st debacle, looks like i really need to give it at least another 8L?

I would AND I would absolutely ensure that level is bang on.

Cheers chap, i was basing the level of the oil on what i had removed but whos to say the that that was the correct level before i started, it may have been fiddled with prior to me getting the car....

I spoke to volvo today when i was in there collecting the gasket for the oil drain plug, the service guy didnt seem to think that a software update would resovle the gearbox issue

Hi folks, put about 18L through it, taken it for a good run and given it the same amount of stick as i would to get it to show its true colours, it didnt happen, no lumps or jolts, so i tried harder, taking it through the gears many times and stil as smooth as a baby's butt, BUT, when i got home and used reverse, theres still a wee jolt but its a double jolt now, it seems worse from drive to reverse, Park to reverse is better, not as jolty. Thing is, there wasnt a double jolt before. I did the level on the level, about 2L flowed out. Im not sure if it was up to temp though but the engine certainly was. I wasnt sure how to do it with Vida to be honest and as i was already on th job and needed to wrap it up i just take a guess, if anything it was prob only about 30-40ēC cause it didnt feel too hot on my fingers, thoughts please, but i do like the way it was driving

Maybe it's going to take a few more shifts to unstick the reverse cloggy bits?
