Engine oil was just as black too, dread to think what that was last done, there's also a leak somewhere near the bottom in think, took a short vodea and will link it on a new thread, there was a leak from the power steeri g pump that was fixed but when I checked that fluid it was below the dipstick, again.......

As a side note guys, at the entry point ofr the air, there was a strange box above the radiator area that has a long flap it, there's a type of coil in there so I am assume that closes with the temperature?

I wouldn't drive the car until fully flushed, and only have it idle for a few sec to mix the fluid between drains. I also did a similar mistake, I was rushing and refilled the brake reservoir with Pentosin - fortunately it's fully synthetic but still not fun to try removing it

I think as previous posters have said change it as you have. Stick 200 miles on then change again. |

I agree with Oragex.
Couple minutes use to mix the fluid then drain. Repeat at least 5 times I think. Driving 200 miles with small amount of engine oil there is a mistake I feel. |

Tbh I dont think that 20L of new ATF is enough to fully flush engine oil from autobox but I may be wrong

Bear in mind that i only put in about 3L in the end as i realised my mistake (the colour) during the 2nd top up. Not sure if that will make any difference, its not like it had a full change.

Not sure how much oil is in yours one . You can check this in manual . If your is same so You basically replaced almost half of atf with engine oil. If I had made same mistake I would flush transmission with minimum 20L of fresh fluid using gibbons method which is quickies without draining and refilling waiting ,repeat and definitely not driving a car around the block That is my opinion anyway

Engine oil You can dispose in local recycling centre. They have special container for engine oil only For atf you need to ask your council . I always wait till I have like 20 l or more and then I book collection thru https://www.cityoflondon.gov.uk/serv...ous-Waste.aspx and within 10 days they come and collect Atf , brake fluid, coolant etc
