Default Driver Information Messages

Occasionally, although I hope not too often, you'll get a warning triangle on your dash accompanied by a message in the DIM (Driver Information Module)

"Engine service required" message is Volvo speak for, 'you have a fault in the engine management system' - it's NOT telling you it requires an oil change.

When the car is due for a service the message will read: "regular service required".

Likewise if there is a problem in the brakes, message will read "stop safely brake service required".

For an SRS fault, "SRS service required" will be displayed and so on and so on!
