Install Apple CarPlay

Does anyone know if it’s possible to download and install CarPlay on a 2016 XC90 without a visit (and subsequent lightening of wallet) to a Volvo dealer?

Only had it a week or so, and quite disappointed to find it’s not available on a top of the line Volvo, whereas it’s standard on my friends 2016 Fiesta ST

Can be retrofitted - but only by a dealer (they're the ones equipped with the necessary tools to extract funds from your wallet). But I believe that the upgrade now includes a swap to give you a second USB socket under the front centre armrest.

If it's possible to retrofit CarPlay this could only be done by a dealer.

However, I'm not sure that CarPlay can be retrofitted to an XC90; it isn't mentioned on the Volvo Accessories site, where such things are usually listed.

I cannot access that site as it requires a login. Also I don't think that's the official Volvo Accessories website - Volvo's websites have a '.com' address, ('com/uk/' for UK stuff) and this website doesn't have a Volvo logo.
