Default Road/Tyre noise XC90 B5 Core 19 inch wheels

Morning all,
I have a brand new XC90 B5 Core on the smallest wheels. It's 3 months old with 1200 miles on the clock. I've noticed from around 25 mph plus there's a light grinding/wind noise. I think it's coming from the offside of the car. When my wife noticed it she was looking around for the window that was slightly open to give you an idea of what it's like. It almost sounds like a coffee machine or your immersion heater boiling! It doesn't change with road speed, acceleration, braking or steering. The volvo service manager has driven it and said he can
hear the noise but its normal for a 4x4 on new tyres. Any observations?! Thank you.

Our XC90 B5D had some tyre noise from the continentals fitted from new, if I moved my head forward the noise reduced, I got used to in the end. Not sure about the comment from the dealer about new tyres on a 4x4- sounds like bs to me as I recently fitted 4 new Michelin cross climates with noticeably reduced road noise.
