Hi all.
A year or so ago I had a V70 D5, unfortunately, its bain died and the car kept cutting out whilst driving, I now have an 05 XC90 D5 and it did the unthinkable on me whilst accelerating down a slip road onto the motorway- it cut out and re started, has anyone had this problem before or am i looking at the same thing happening to me again?

What do you mean by "cut out and re started". Limp mode perhaps?

Find someone with Vida to see if there are any fault codes - I expect not; this is the worst kind of fault and one of the reasons why I am so against driverless cars - to make them able to tolerate failure in the system and keep safe will make the cost horrendous so there will no doubt be some kind of compromise.

Rant over - if you have only had the car a couple of months take it back unless you can find the fault quickly. Good luck.
