Default V70 Headlights on the continent

Is there a reference anywhere that shows me which part of the headlights on my 2001 V70 needs to be blanked off for Left Hand Drive roads. I checked the headlights but it isn't obvious.

Thanks
Robert

I checked this link before I posted my request. There does not seem to be any reference as to actually where to stick your black tape. One other cars I have had it has been fairly obvious but not on the V70. I suppose I could just sod the expense and buy the Halfords kit to find out ;-)

The information should be in your owners handbook which should have been part of the full paperwork you received when purchasing your car.

All the best, Peter.

Suggest you do what I have done and buy the official Volvo touring covers. Not too expensive and should last for years. I have now used them about 10 times in the last two years. Much better that sticky plastic and a knife. They are fitted and removed in seconds. They also protect your very expensive headlight lenses from damage.

I can't see any reference to these as an accessory on the Volvo web site. What are they? Do they cover the whole headlight and bend the beam as well?

Yes I would have thought that too but there is nothing in the V70 owners manual I have?

I use these on my C70 - they do cover the whole light but do not "bend the beam" simply black out the offending area much the same as you would do with black tape.

I use the covers on long journeys in the UK in summer if it is unlikely that I will need my lights - the protection to the main headlights from stones being the reason.
