Hi, does aney body have an O.S. map reference for Malton Rugby Club. I like to know precisely where I'm going when I'm towing. George.

I don't know the OS map reference, but I can give you precise directions.

From Sheffield get on the M18 and exit at Jnc2 taking the left hand lane onto the A1 Northbound. Stay on the A1 until you reach a 4 lane section where the M1 has joined from the south and get in the left hand lane which becomes the A64 dual carriageway for York and Scarborough, Continue along the A64 (it's dual carriageway) until you reach a roundabout at the far side of York and then take the 2nd exit (still the A64) for Malton and Scarborough. Continue along this road for several miles including a dual carriageway section with a stiff climb followed by a twisty bit and then you'll see a slip road disappear to the left for Malton, Ignore this and continue on the A64 which becomes a dual carriageway as the Malton Bypass. Take the next exit for Pickering and Whitby (proper slip-road affair up to a roundabout) and take the 3rd exit for Malton. Continue down here through Old Malton and past the Police Station until you come to a mini roundabout. Bear left heading to Malton and the Rugby Club is about 100yds down on the left hand side.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the directions Rupert !

Just to clarify 2 things ;

1) You will need to be a current member of the VOC to enter your car on sunday & your current membership card will be asked for when you arrive, as per the rules at the National.

2) You need to be a current VOC member to camp/caravan + a member of camping section - this is down to the liability certificate requirements that the VOC needs in order to camp on non-certified sites.

Thanks,

John.
