V70 d5 2002 crank but won't start
Hi just saw your post from some time back I have this manual v70 started fin one day it Cut out. No code on code reader. Snap on code reader live dater when I was cranking rpm stayed at 0... Fuel rail pressure was up and down go up to 1800 then back down to 400 got loads of fuedl up to the injectors. The car had been run out the day before
Put new filter on Just off the red in the fuel gauge As if the injectors are no opening Will show sings of combustion with easy start but will not run no codes is it immobilised or would that stop the starter from spinning many thanks jack |

It's possible that the new filter blocked. If there was enough sludge in the system and the fuel level was still very low. Before going off looking for co-incident sensor failures I would follow the line that it's related to the original fuel starvation event.
Also when filters are replaced it can take quite a bit of cranking to get fuel back up the front. It helps to hand prime the new filter by filling it and sitting with the key at Pos II letting the tank pump run for a bit before trying to crank. That year, the moment I saw it was thinking injector leak but too much of a co-incidence it would show up out of the blue. Normally they get harder and harder to start from cold over time. My bad , Internet doesn't do irony at midnight Last edited by Brendan W; Dec 5th, 2015 at 09:30. |

I thought slug from ruining out was an old wife's tale seen as the pickup in the tank is at the bottom,, weather if was full of fuel or only had 2 gallon the **** would still be at the bottom of the no matter the amount of fuel ? I might be very wrong ..the is loads of fuel coming out the hight pressure side of the pimp in to the rail as I undone it and cranked it over fuel was ****ing out...the car started the next day after ruining out wasn't till I got to by the shop it knonked out and said regent engine service required!!!!!! (What does this mean there is a faulty sensor or a mechanical fault ???Then obvs in in the position in in now. Just took the sensor out its original so could be 13 years old ...wating for a new crank sensor will be her at 3 pm
