Default V50 bluetooth connection issues

Hi all, I have just picked up a 2012 v50 se lux, and while the car is lovely I am having an issue where I can connect my phone, but while it is syncing the phone gets disconnected. I have been able to make phone calls and stream Bluetooth audio for a few moments, but then it disconnects. The car display shows phone sync, then says no phones are paired. Any suggestions please!

Is the phone a Samsung? I had this problem. I had the software in the car updated by Volvo when it was serviced, but no improvement so I ignored as it was just for my work phone. Personal iPhone worked fine.
Couple of months later sitting idly in car waiting for other half I decided to try it again and "low and behold" it worked first time!

I think there may be a difference depending whether you pair the phone to the car, or the car to the phone. i.e. which end of the connection is controlling the process as I seem to remember the process being different the second time.

It is indeed a Samsung. I will try to connect both ways and see if it makes a difference. Thanks for the reply.

Well, I have no idea why but it does seem to work now, I got the phone and car to forget each other and connected using the car to find the phone. Initially didn't allow it access to my phone book, got everything working then allowed access to my contacts and it seems to have done the trick, many thanks and fingers crossed!
