160 km/h?? C'mon.. I'm sure even in a police state of UK a great percentage of people drive over 160 weekly, if not daily..

I would be very surprised if they did, possibly early hours of the morning, but even then our speed cameras are working.🤔
My is capable of 0-60 in around 6.5secs being Polestar-ed maybe slightly quicker, if it was limited to 112 mph I'd still be happy. Acceleration and torque is more important than top speed for me.😆

Really? Where are you driving? I drive 30k miles per year and very rarely see people doing over a ton. I would say that if you took the range of 50 to 90mph then this would easily encompass at least 99% of the traffic.

I see quite a few people doing over 100mph on motorways around London at the speed they're flying past me.

With that being said I couldn't really care less about people doing 90/100 on an empty(ish) motorway, doesn't bother me at all.

It's the idiots doing 50/60 down a road with a school during the middle of the week that winds me up.

When I went on an advanced motorbike training course with the police a long time ago even they didn't advocate religiously sticking to the speed limits in rural areas where it was sensible to go moderately over the speed and within the conditions of the road, weather and surroundings. But that was then and this is now I guess.

According to a recent news article, apparently new cars sold in EU from 2022, i think ,will have software to limit speeds to the correct road speed limits...... with the driver able to override it (hard acceleration) in emergencies....

And apparently UK cars will follow.

Rumour has it after a 'settling in' period the ability to overude will be removed.....
