Default Any ideas?

Front Parking Sensors work fine (graphic and sound)
Rear Collision Warning works fine (graphic and sound)

Rear Parking Sensors can only see the graphic, but have no sound.

Suddenly started the other week.

Could one faulty sensor potentially stop the sound from all of them?
Just need some ideas if possible, if anyone can help.

I know it's not the speakers because the RCW works fine on both sides.

TIA,

J

When sensors are active, try turning the volume up.

Tried that, stereo sound is lowered for it, but no sound from the sensors.

Took it to Volvo and they wouldn't help due to the aftermarket sound system upgrade (can't see how it's anything to do with this, but never mind......).

So, took it to the chap that fitted the sound system - he ran a diagnostic on it and there are no faults at all - all of the sensors are working fine, there's just no sound for the rears.
He says he's not seen it before, so is checking with his network to see if they've ever come across it........

It's a weird one.

Did it work OK before the aftermarket sound system was fitted?

Hi Zeb,

yes, and it worked fine with the system fitted for over 6 months.

then suddenly no sound for the rear sensors, but all others working fine; speakers working fine, and no error codes............it's weird.

Did you ever resolve this. I don’t think my rear sensors are operating as they used to sound wise either
