1.8i GDI exhaust sytem

looking for an aftermarket exhaust system for my GDI - cat back, i'm assuming the GDI exhausts are different from the volvo ones so limiting my choice, a google search doesnt seem to show me anything for my car. Help?

how do i check what engine i have. And i have a phase one, year 2000, just before the switch to phase 2s
