2007 volvo c30 sport se 2.0d spares / repairs
£1750 for forum members:
2007 56 Plate Volvo C30. I bought this as a weekend car at the end of summer and has been overall a reliable car. It's Sport SE spec so It has all the toys anyone would ever need. Leather heated seats, folding heated mirrors, Aux input, factory tinted windows, 18 inch factory alloys, electric windows, xenon and fog lights as standard along with the sports factory body kit. This car looks amazing and I will be sorry to see it go. It is powered by a 2.0 Diesel engine with a 6 speed gearbox. The fuel economy is around 55/60 on a long run. So it's spares and repairs for a reason. It runs fine and I use it everyday to get back and forth to work. 60 mile round trip. Starts first time everytime. No warning messages on dash. The car failed its MOT today, please see picture. It was also registered as a CAT C in 2010 hence the price. 2 other things to mention is that it has smoke on cold start up but goes after 30 seconds and doesn't happen again until the next day. Although this has got better since I started using Shell Nitro Plus. Also the clutch slips around 2,000 rpm in high gears when you really put your foot down. This would make a great car for someone with more time and knowledge than me. 105k is low mileage for a diesel these days. It does come with some service history, injectors were sorted out at Volvo main dealer for 800 and steering was recently replaced at a cost of 500 pounds by Volvo as well. Decided to keep it and put it through an MOT. Discovered on the weekend that Gumtree is full of wasters. It's not that bad of a car but doesn't look the best on paper.
