Anyone local to Bromley Kent with VIDA/DICE?
Is there one on this forum who could pop our Volvo XC90 on to their VIDA to clear an airbag light and a quick diognostic? Looking to invest in it soon but in the meantime would be really grateful if anyone can help ..happy to bring wine beer cash or cakes (I’m a cake maker) 😊

Hi maria, I do not have Vida dice, but do have an aftermarket odb reader that can reset SRS, engine management abs etc. However am in Essex.
Note volvo diagnostics are also in Essex (rainham) and I know for a fact Lucas car reset your codes. If you contact him with vin / reg details of your car, he will prep the icm, replace it and reset all your codes while you wait. BTW, the problem with mine was that although the radio usually worked, the satnav, CD, phone, would often be AWOL. He did this for me and delighted. Hope this helps |

Hi Thomas,
Sorry if this appears to be a bit presumptious, but I live in Tonbridge and was wondering if I could also make use of your VIDA set-up to understand the messages I'm getting on my '55 reg D5: (SRS urgent service required message and re-callibrating the anti-yaw sensor after I fitted a replacement) once I've reassembled my car over the next week? I don't have VIDA/DICE and haven't the time right now to faff around blindly installing it on my computer as I've got enough work to do just reassembling the whole front end prior to going on holiday in early August... and getting an MOT before then!!! I'd appreciate your help if you are able to assist. Thanks Aidan |

Thank you sreviz. I may well do that. I'm not clued up on VIDA, so could you please tell me if your set up is able to only read a code or do other stuff as well, such as recalibrting an anti-yaw sensor?
Regards, Aidan |

All I use my VIDA is to read codes, delete codes, finding part number, repair guides and finally finding the exact faults on the car.

I'll keep it in mind but I think I may need a trip to Volvo as I do need to recalibrate the anti-yaw sensor and get the SRS warning seen to. The SRS warning only came on when I dismantled the interior to search for and fix the leak so I think I need expert advice as it must be an MOT failure and I need it fixed pronto once the car is reassembled after all my suspension adventures |
