Two major issues with the car:

1) The driver’s door does not open! The door locks and unlocks with both the key and the fob, but the door will not open from either inside or outside. To access the driver’s seat you need to shuffle over from the passenger side.

2) The clutch slave cylinder recently went FUBAR. The clutch pedal goes straight to the floor and has lost all hydraulic fluid and pressure.

By coincidence we were due to replace the car anyway, as my wife has taken a new job that requires a longer commute so she now has a SAAB 9-3 TiD.

The clutch went in a car park in Lincoln and the car had to be recovered home. It dumped all of its hydraulic fluid in the car park, so it’s not the clutch itself or the cable that went, probably the slave cylinder according to the AA recovery bloke. It hasn’t been driven since then (obvs) but the engine still starts and all of the electrics still work – windows, mirrors.

Interior is in good condition, but could do with a good clean in the front. The rear seats are almost unused. The stereo still gives a very good sound quality.

Bodywork is in fantastic condition, no signs of rust anywhere, no bubbling on the arches, even the wheels (17" Volan) are still in good condition.

The car is far too good to scrap, and is either a breaker or a repair project for someone. Just to clarify, you are buying the whole car. I have neither the time, the skills, the tools, nor the inclination to start breaking it myself.

The car is located in Leicester, about 5 minutes from J21a of the M1. It will need to be trailered away, or you can attempt to drive it if you wish. The car is SORN, with no tax or insurance, but a valid MoT.

I am looking for offers around £250. Pictures to follow.

You PMd me about the car. I can't PM you back because apparently I need 30 posts before I can contact the administrators??? That was the error message anyway.

If you want to collect the car on Sunday 22nd or thereafter then that's fine. I will accept the offer you have made

Thanks
Garrett

FAO: Tony209,

I tried to reply to your PM, but got the same error message...

---------------------------------------------------------
Sorry, you can only send messages to the Administrators group until you have 30 posts.
---------------------------------------------------------

I've been away on holiday. The car is still available if you need to collect it this weekend. I am available on both Saturday and Sunday. The car is in the Glenfield area of Leicester, LE3. V5 present, and in my wife's name, along with receipts, service book, etc.

Regards
Garrett
