Default "Madison" - 1979 cream Volvo 244DL for sale

Selling on behalf of a local volvo friend with no internet access...this car goes to many of the local shows and has won prizes on several occasions....

1979 volvo 244DL.

B21A (Stromberg carb) with Borg Warner 3 speed auto box. 155,000 miles.

The corona alloys shown in the pics are not included - the original great condition steel wheels will be fitted instead. The car was fitted with a PAS system a few years ago which makes it much easier to manouvre and park at the shows. It has a vinyl roof fitted which (in my opinion) really compliments the cream colour. It also has GLT leather seats fitted.

Extensive service history from new. Recent brake overhall including new calipers. MOT until June, taxed until April.

£750.00

PM me/reply to this thread if you're interested and I will forward on the owners phone number to you via PM

Whoever buys it better look after it or they will have me to deal with!!

Steve

Guess who that is in the reflection!...

Earlier photo of it with the vinyl roof but the steel wheels still fitted (as it will be to the buyer)

Even earlier photo showing it without vinyl roof

That is a very nice car.

I've seen it in the flesh and can only say "What a great car at a bargain price!"

The new owner will be very lucky.

Steve

looks like a good one, think I may have seen it at a show, but not 100% sure. I would love it to go with the collection, but not got the spare cash at the moment, so just a few questions out of cuoriosty, are the origional seats with it still, is the paint all origional, how long has the owner owned it for, and how many owners in total, what is he doing with the alloys and just out of interest are the handels, door pockets etc in black, that are in contrast to the brown door cards a replacment, or were they origionaly all brown, as I thought they stoped the contrasting handle thing in 1977?

As you say I hope whoever it goes to looks after it, why is it up for sale?

Lovely car at a very nice price! It's a shame the Coronas arn't included; they really compliment the vinyl roof which looks fantastic!

.

Seen it and I think that its a good one. Met the owner once and he seems like a straight up kind of chap to me. Not 100% original but not far off and well worth the asking price IMO.
