Re calipers !! volvo list the fronts as different for T5 and T5R/850R, but with both recon units together there is no apparent difference, re rears,, will have a look see on Vardis in the morning for you

Hi all,

There is no difference in calipers on the rear only the AWD have a different set as they are vented and mount on the front of the disc instead of the rear.

VARDIS = volvo aftersales diagnostics and information system

Dealer only info system for parts and repair

Alan
Price diff is because the 850 T5R/850R (no 9157439 and 9157440)are outright non-exchange,,the std T5 is exchange (5003813 and 5003814)

As before the fronts look the same for std t5 and R,s even though they list them the same way ie outright only, We have fitted exchange number caliper to the front of 850R with no bother

Tim, Is there any differences in the 940 front setup? Mine is a '96 model turbo diesel estate with ABS using the Lucas bigpot single calipers at the front and the smaller Lucas single pot calipers at the rear. I have replaced the rear discs OK but the front discs (ventilated) they gave me are about a quarter inch too narrow and foul the caliper holder when fitted. Were there more than one front setup for 940s?

Please reply using my e-mail as it is slightly off topic being 940. :o

Thanks in advance and all the best, Peter.
